Scope and Contents

Dept. of Fish and Game employees photographed or acquired the images in this collection. Many of the first 155 photographs have individual descriptions while the remaining views are arranged by subject. Subjects include Dept. of Fish & Game vessels, tagging and other activities of the department, hatcheries, canneries, southeast Alaskan islands, coves and bays, birds, marine animals, game and hunting.

Scope and Contents This collection of photographs includes views taken from 1960-1975 by photographers in the Alaska Travel Division and used for tourism activity. The black and white photograph prints and negatives were placed in the library in 1976. The collection is arranged by subject groups as received from the Division. Scope and Contents The federal government operated hatcheries at Yes Bay, this collection includes eleven logbooks of the station operation from 1906-1934. Three logbooks related to the Quadra Hatchery, which was a mandatory hatchery, are included in this collection. The logbooks cover the years 1908 - 1935.
